{"id":20,"date":"2015-09-21T15:10:38","date_gmt":"2015-09-21T14:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.binaryeconomics.net\/wordpress\/?page_id=20"},"modified":"2021-02-17T15:54:27","modified_gmt":"2021-02-17T15:54:27","slug":"author","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.binaryeconomics.net\/wordpress\/introduction\/author\/","title":{"rendered":"Author: Rodney Shakespeare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/binaryeconomics.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/images\/rodney-250.jpg\" alt=\"Rodney Shakespeare\" width=\"228\" height=\"285\" \/>Rodney Shakespeare taught in UK schools and colleges for thirteen years.\u00a0 For ten years he was Visiting Professor of Binary Economics (holding the only academic post in the subject in the world) at Trisakti University, Jakarta (second university in prestige in Indonesia) where he taught on the International Postgraduate Islamic Economics and Finance program.\u00a0 Binary Economics is a new paradigm economics which, among other things, addresses the technological shift now smashing out traditional well-paid jobs (and substituting insecure, low-paid ones) and upholds democratic economic rights as well as the usual political ones.\u00a0 As a completely new, major paradigm, Binary Economics could not be understood (and thus taught) in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Rodney is a Cambridge MA, a qualified UK Barrister, and a well-known paper presenter and lecturer particularly at conferences dealing with money, the real economy, and social and economic justice.\u00a0 Co-founder of the Global Justice Movement <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globaljusticemovement.net\">www.globaljusticemovement.net<\/a> \u00a0 he is the author of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.binaryeconomics. net\">www.binaryeconomics.net<\/a>\u00a0 In 2000 he received the (Martin Luther) King-Kelso Award.\u00a0 He broadcasts with various TV stations including Press TV.<\/p>\n<p>Rodney\u2019s first co-authored book on Binary Economics \u2014 <em>The Two-factor Nation<\/em>\u2014 was published in 1976.\u00a0 He is co-author (with Robert Ashford) of the standard textbook on Binary Economics \u2014 <em>Binary Economics &#8211; the new paradigm <\/em>(1999).\u00a0 He is co-author (with Peter Challen) of the subsequent text <em>Seven Steps toJustice<\/em> (2002) which further develops Binary Economics, and author of <em>The Modern Universal Paradigm<\/em> (July, 2007) containing later developments in particular relating to paradigmatic understanding and the appeal of Binary Economics to people of faith and of good faith.
